Kansas Legislation

Our Coalition is committed to ensuring that any stem cell research, therapies, and cures that are allowed under federal law remain legal in Kansas and available to Kansas patients. We oppose any legislation that would ban, criminalize or restrict promising stem cell research in our state.

In each of the last several legislative sessions, some politicians in Topeka have proposed laws that would restrict, ban, and even criminalize promising stem cell research in our state. You can find a summary of the bills considered during the last session here.

During each legislative session from January to May, we keep our coalition members updated on the status of any threat of unfair state-level regulations that could limit research in Kansas or put therapies and cures available to other Americans out of the reach of Kansans.
